Organic rubbers, comprising carbon–carbon links in their polymer backbone, are an essential part of modern everyday life. Tough, unique properties mainly governed by reinforcing fillers such as carbon black and silica. However, the power is not only driven chemical nature but also particle size, shape, distribution dispersion. In order to minimize agglomeration processing difficulties, idea situ generated has been approached. means “locally” refers generation during vulcanization process. This versatile technique provides individual tailoring rubber compounds due numerous possible reaction pathways. reinforcement reported for all relevant matrixes already employed commercially. this review, a comprehensive overview strategies organic rubbers impact on mechanical provided. It covers sol–gel derived fillers, metal salts unsaturated carboxylic acids well formation interpenetrating networks with resins detail.
